Shares of One Stop Systems surged Tuesday after the company said it received awards worth $3.9 million from a U.S. defense contractor.

The stock of the Escondido, Calif.-based computing company was up 9.2% to $5.54 and has more than doubled over the past 12 months.

The company said it will deliver data storage units to support operations on the P-8A Poseidon Reconnaissance Aircraft manufactured by Boeing and used by the U.S. Navy for anti-submarine warfare and surveillance. The data storage units allow for the aircraft's sensors to capture and transfer data.

One Stop Systems expects the majority of the revenue from the awards to come in the second half of 2025.
