Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. has unveiled the meticulously restored Waldorf Astoria New York, marking the start of its opening season. The iconic hotel, originally opened in 1931, has undergone a significant transformation to recapture its historic splendor while incorporating modern enhancements. The restoration involves reimagined guest rooms and suites, new dining experiences such as Chef Michael Anthony's brasserie Lex Yard, and the legendary Peacock Alley lounge. The project, conducted in close collaboration with the Landmarks Preservation Commission, is one of New York City's largest preservation and adaptive reuse endeavors. It preserves the hotel's storied legacy and architectural integrity, setting a new standard for luxury hospitality. The hotel's 43,000 square feet of meetings and events spaces, including the Grand Ballroom, will reopen on September 1, alongside the Guerlain Wellness Spa.
