Medtronic plc has announced a new exclusive U.S. distribution agreement with Japan-based Future Medical Design Co., Ltd. (FMD) to sell specialty and workhorse peripheral guidewires. This agreement introduces the first 400 cm, 0.018" peripheral guidewire available in the U.S, enhancing Medtronic's offerings for transradial access in treating peripheral arterial disease (PAD). Medtronic will distribute 10 new F-14™* and F-18™* peripheral stainless steel guidewires in 300 cm and 400 cm lengths, providing a comprehensive suite of tools for physicians. These guidewires are designed for crossability, trackability, and tip retention, facilitating complex interventions. This development marks a significant advancement in Medtronic's portfolio, further equipping physicians with essential tools for lower extremity interventions and transradial approaches.
