4DMedical (ASX:4DX) said it renewed its contract with the University of Michigan Medical Center for another three years from July 1 to June 30, 2028, for a total value of around AU$155,000, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.
University of Michigan clinicians and researchers will have access to 4DMedical's full suite of structural lung analysis applications via the Enterprise Core Computing platform.
The firm also reported the award of AU$1.1 million in non-dilutive cash funding under the first round of Australia's Economic Accelerator Innovate grant program for a project led by the University of Adelaide with 4DMedical as one of the partners.
The project will seek to develop AI-derived functional biomarkers to enhance respiratory disease diagnosis and treatment.
Its shares jumped 4% in recent trading on Friday.
