ASP Isotopes (ASPI) said Thursday it expects to ship commercial Silicon-28 enriched to at least 99.995% in August to its first customers from its isotope enrichment facility in Pretoria, South Africa.

The company said it increased the estimated maximum annual capacity of the facility to 80 kilograms of "highly enriched" Silicon-28 from the previous guidance of 50 kilograms.

From a separate facility, ASP said it expects to ship commercial samples of enriched Ytterbium-176 to customers in August.

The company said it currently achieves an enrichment factor of 52 for the isotope and plans to increase production rates to its targeted rate of 1 kilogram per annum through a semi-continuous commercial processing method.

ASP said it has also recently received the first of the required permits to import controlled laser equipment for the enrichment of Nickel-64, Gadolinium-160 and Zinc-68. The company said it is "accelerating plans to construct enrichment facilities in South Africa for many more isotopes" using the quantum enrichment process.

The company's shares were up 2.8% in recent Thursday premarket activity.
