0828 GMT - Shares of semiconductor companies in Europe are down after NXP Semiconductors forecast a decline in sales for the current quarter. The group guided for third-quarter sales of $3.05 billion to $3.25 billion, up from the second quarter but lower compared with the third quarter of last year. NXP Semiconductors' shares are down 5.8% at $215.00 Tuesday premarket. Meanwhile, shares of Dutch semiconductor-equipment maker ASML Holding and smaller rival ASM International are down 2.1% and 1.6%, respectively. German chip maker Infineon Technologies is down 3%.
