1348 ET - PulteGroup is showing impressive resilience in a tough macroeconomic environment, BofA Securities analysts say in a research note. The Atlanta home builder logged a smaller profit and lower revenue in 2Q, but the figures came in ahead of Wall Street's estimates. The analysts note that gross margins guidance for 3Q and 4Q looks better than investors' expectations and add that they expect mix to be a margin tailwind in 2026 as it delivers more higher margin active adult homes from recently opened communities. "PulteGroup has attractive ROE & capital return relative to other builders and we expect resilient order/margin performance in a tough housing backdrop," say the analysts, who increase their price objective to $140 from $127. Shares tick down 1% after rallying 11% Tuesday on 2Q results. (denny.jacob@wsj.com; @pennedbyden)
