2331 GMT - Australia's S&P/ASX 200 looks set to rise at the open after the announcement of fresh U.S. trade deals helped send the S&P 500 to a record. ASX futures are up by 0.5% ahead of Wednesday's session, suggesting that the benchmark index will add to Tuesday's 0.1% rise, further paring its losses from a hefty week-opening fall. The broad-based S&P 500 edged 0.1% higher after President Trump announced trade deals with the Philippines and Indonesia. The DJIA rose 0.4%, but the Nasdaq Composite slipped 0.4%. Ahead of the ASX open, Woodside Energy lowered its annual cost guidance. Mineral-sands miner Iluka warned that trade uncertainty is clouding its outlook. (stuart.condie@wsj.com)
