Coolpad Group (HKG:2369) said it has set up a dedicated division to explore blockchain-based asset tokenisation, according to a Monday Hong Kong bourse filing.
Shares of the company were down about 6% in Tuesday's recent trade.
The division, led by the chairman and CEO, will assess the feasibility of tokenizing rights to two key property assets in Shenzhen and Dongguan.
It is in early-stage research and discussions, and plans to expand its tokenization service model if pilot projects prove commercially viable, the filing said.
