Consumer Prices in Hong Kong Rise at Slower Pace During June, Data Show

Consumer prices in Hong Kong rose at a slower pace in June when compared to a month earlier, figures released by the Census and Statistics Department Monday showed.

The Composite Consumer Price Index rose by 1.4% year over year, but was below the 1.9% increase witnessed in May, according to the report.

When accounting for one-off relief measures by the government, the Composite CPI, or underlying inflation rate, was 1%, unchanged from May.

On a seasonally adjusted basis, the average monthly rate of increase in the Composite CPI for the three months ending June was "0.0%," compared with negative 0.1% for the three months ending May 2025, figures showed.
