The Lottery (ASX:TLC) appointed Wayne Pickup as managing director and chief executive officer, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

Pickup will join the company on Nov. 24 and serve as a board observer until he receives all necessary regulatory approvals and officially takes on the role, the filing said.

Pickup will succeed Sue van der Merwe, who retired on March 24, the filing added.
