CHICAGO, July 24 (Reuters) - Spot basis bids for corn and soybeans ticked lower in the U.S. Midwest on Thursday.

• The corn basis fell at an elevator, three river terminals and two ethanol plants.

• The soy basis fell at an elevator, a processor and two river terminals.

• Industry players are keeping a close eye on weather, which is expected to be beneficial for corn and soy crops in a key development period.

• Reduced global demand for U.S. commodities and expectations for a bumper corn and soy crop are weighing on demand.

• CBOT December corn futures CZ25 were last up 1-1/4 cents to $4.18-1/2 a bushel as of midday.

• CBOT new-crop November soybeans SX25 were last down 1-3/4 cents to $10.21 a bushel.
