AEM (SGX:AWX) appointed Samer Kabbani as the company's chief executive officer, effective July 28, according to a Sunday filing with the Singapore Exchange.

Shares of the company were down nearly 3% in recent trading.

Kabbani recently served as the company's president and chief technology officer and will succeed Chunyi Yin Leong who stepped down on the same day as the company's CEO.
