New Era Helium Inc. has announced a significant development with its joint venture, Texas Critical Data Centers LLC (TCDC), closing on a 235-acre site in Ector County, Texas, near Odessa. This site acquisition marks an important step in aligning Permian Basin energy assets with the growing demand for artificial intelligence $(AI)$ and high-performance computing $(HPC.AU)$ infrastructure. TCDC, a collaboration between New Era Helium and Sharon AI, Inc., plans to develop a large AI and HPC campus that can scale beyond 1 GW. The facility will incorporate advanced energy and cooling systems, with potential integration of carbon capture, utilization, and storage technologies to enhance environmental efficiency. Additionally, TCDC has secured an exclusive letter of intent to expand the site by an additional 203 acres, reaching a total of 438 acres. The company intends to apply for the formation of an Industrial District with the City of Odessa to facilitate access to municipal services, while maintaining favorable zoning regulations for swift and flexible development.
