Intuitive Machines, Inc., a prominent player in space technology and infrastructure services, has secured a $9.8 million Phase Two government contract to advance its Orbital Transfer Vehicle (OTV) to the Critical Design Review stage. This milestone is the final engineering step before manufacturing begins, marking a significant expansion of the company's government portfolio. The contract highlights the increasing demand for Intuitive Machines' in-space mobility solutions beyond lunar surface deliveries. Built on the proven Nova-C lander architecture, the OTV is designed for agile and time-efficient transfer of payloads across various orbits, including Medium Earth Orbit, Geostationary Orbit, and interplanetary destinations. With a payload capacity of approximately 2,100 kilograms, the vehicle is positioned to support a wide range of mission needs and expand into the growing market for in-space logistics.
