Kopin Corporation, a leader in application-specific optical systems and high-performance microdisplays, has announced a contract update for the development Phase 2 of the Next-Generation Short-Range Interceptor (NGSRI) Visual Display Subsystem (VDS) with Lockheed Martin. The update supports the build and testing of a new high-resolution VDS assembly, which features Kopin's proprietary OLED microdisplay and optical designs. These assemblies will be integrated into the Command Launch Assembly, a crucial component of the U.S. Army's NGSRI initiative. Kopin will deliver fully assembled VDS units for various simulated and operational missile launch tests.
