0814 ET - United and JetBlue say they have completed the Transportation Department review for their new Blue Sky collaboration and got the green light to go ahead. The arrangement allows customers of each airline to earn and spend miles on the other. Rival Spirit Airlines had raised concerns about the partnership, arguing that it would neutralize competition and push fares higher--it had urged the DOT to closely scrutinize it. JetBlue and United have said the arrangement will give consumers more choices, including by facilitating United's return to JFK. (alison.sider@wsj.com; @alyrose)
