The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was 0.8% higher and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was down 1%.

SiriusPoint (SPNT) stock was up more than 5% after the company reported higher Q2 adjusted earnings and revenue.

CNA Financial (CNA) shares were up nearly 2% after the company reported higher Q2 core earnings and revenue.

Loews (L) stock was up more than 1% after the company posted higher Q2 net income and revenue.
