Tambourah Metals Extends Recent Run of Success with High Grade Gold Hits at Beatty Park Sth

Small Caps
08/04

Tambourah Metals (ASX: TMB) has hit gold grades of up to 126 grams per tonne in first-pass aircore (AC) drilling at its Beatty Park Sth project, 160 kilometres north of Meekatharra in Western Australia.

Drilled to a maximum depth of 65 metres, the AC holes tested five drill traverses on 30m spacings and returned other high-grade results such as 6m at 25.8g/t, 2m at 6.6g/t and 4m at 15.95g/t.

The initial program tested an area of historical drilling that had reported high-grade shallow gold intercepts in several campaigns during the 1990’s.

Accelerated Drilling

The company is now preparing to significantly increase AC drilling activity at Beatty Park Sth to further define the extent of the near-surface gold mineralisation prior to undertaking reverse circulation (RC) drilling that will test potential structural targets.

The company’s future work will focus on unravelling the structural setting of the mineralisation that previous drilling failed to resolve.

Those activities did identify a well-defined gold-in-soil anomaly associated with the area that suggested an underlying north-west structural control similar in orientation to some of the major gold deposits in the Peak Hill area

The 250,000-ounce Harmony gold deposit, located 30km east of Beatty Park Sth, includes a series of regional, northwest plunging folds.

June Quarter Exploration

Tambourah enjoyed a number of exploration successes during the June quarter at its gold and critical minerals projects in WA’s north.

The company continued to expand its Tambourah King prospect with RC assays during the quarter identifying significant gold mineralisation over 200m of strike.

At the same time geological mapping and soil anomalies identified potential extensions to gold mineralisation south of Tambourah King and the Federal prospects.

Speewah Antimony-Silver Sampling

Tambourah’s sampling from the 6km-long Chapman-Catto’s trend at its Speewah Nth project returned high-grade antimony, silver and copper.

The company is planning to compile extensive historical geophysical and drilling data sets at Speewah Nth to identify antimony drill targets along the eastern margin of the Hart Dolerite.

It also plans to follow up surface sampling, vein and gossan identification over the Chapman-Catto’s corridor and western dome targets, where untested historical antimony-silver anomalies suggest widespread potential within the Speewah Dome.
