xReality Group (ASX:XRG) received a grant for AU$2.1million as part of the Australian Government's Industry Growth Program to accelerate the company's artificial intelligence product roadmap, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
The company said it will use the funds to increase the manufacturing capacity of training weapons at the Sydney headquarters by 100% through the addition of new additive manufacturing equipment and electronics design.
The company will also use the funds to achieve a suite of global security and quality certifications required for large defense and government prime contracts.
The grant will be paid quarterly over 24 months, starting Aug. 1.
