Alibaba (HKG:9988) grocery business Freshippo plans to raise total store count to more than 500 by the fiscal year ending March 2026, Xinhua News reported.
The expansion of about 100 new stores aims to widen market reach and improve service delivery, according to the report.
Freshippo opened nearly 70 new stores and entered 27 new cities between 2024 and fiscal year ended March 2025, Xinhua wrote.
