Universal Biosensors (ASX:UBI) said its major shareholder, Viburnum Funds, extended the due diligence period under the original term sheet for a proposed funding by a week to Aug. 15, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

The companies are now exploring alternative structures, including a pro-rata entitlement offer to existing shareholders, the filing said.
