Energy Vault Holdings Inc., a global leader in sustainable energy storage solutions, has announced a new contract with Consumers Energy, Michigan's largest energy provider, to supply two battery energy storage systems $(BESS)$ totaling 75 MW/300 MWh. These systems will be located in Iosco and Bay Counties, with battery deliveries set to begin in the fourth quarter of 2024. Construction is expected to start in the first quarter of 2026, and commercial operations are anticipated by the fourth quarter of the same year. This agreement marks Energy Vault's expansion into the Eastern U.S. utility market and forms a strategic partnership with a leading Midwest public utility, underscoring a commitment to advancing a resilient and sustainable energy future for Michigan and beyond.
