OAKLAND, Calif.-- ThredUp Inc., a major online resale platform for apparel, shoes, and accessories, has released its fourth annual Impact Report detailing its Environmental, Social, and Governance $(ESG)$ strategy and progress for 2024. Key initiatives highlighted include the recirculation of 2.3 million secondhand items through its Resale-as-a-Service with 50 brand clients, the sale of 771,043 items through its Rescues channel, and the recycling of 182,400 pounds of materials in partnership with The AZEK Company. ThredUp also participated in the launch of the Slow Fashion Caucus and initiated a Sales and Use Tax petition with American Circular Textiles to oppose double taxation on secondhand goods. The company plans to continue releasing annual reports to provide transparency and measure its progress.
