MAC Copper (ASX:MAC) said Harmony Gold (Australia) received written confirmation from the Financial Surveillance Department of the South African Reserve Bank that it has no objection to the implementation of the company's proposed acquisition by Harmony Gold via a scheme of arrangement, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

The department also approved Harmony's intended funding for the scheme consideration.

The deal remains subject to other conditions.
