OD6 Metals (ASX:OD6) said it produced a mixed rare earth carbonate of around 56% grade total rare earth oxides via a simplified and scalable heap leach and impurity removal process flowsheet as part of metallurgical testing for the Splinter Rock rare earths project in Western Australia, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
It also produced mixed rare earth hydroxide of around 59% grade total rare earth oxides using the same process but utilizing sodium hydroxide to precipitate the saleable product.
