Shares of Allegiant Travel rose after the company added four routes serving Atlantic City, N.J., to its network.

The stock climbed 5.9% to $60.12 in afternoon trading Wednesday, extending its 65% gain over the past year.

The airline and hospitality company said the addition underscores its growth strategy and dedication to offering more travel options to underserved communities.

Allegiant's new routes--via Atlantic City International Airport--will depart from Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; St. Petersburg, Fla.; Sanford, Fla.; and Punta Gorda, Fla. The Fort Lauderdale flight will begin service in December, with the other flights launching Presidents' Day weekend in 2026.

"Connecting this vibrant community with several cities across Florida not only strengthens our leisure network, but opens up more affordable and convenient travel options for our customers in both regions," Chief Commercial Officer Drew Wells said.
