WeRide Inc., a leader in autonomous driving technology, has formed a strategic partnership with Southeast Asia's leading superapp, Grab. This collaboration aims to deploy autonomous solutions across Grab's network, enhancing operational efficiency and scalability. WeRide will integrate its autonomous driving technology into Grab's fleet management and vehicle routing systems. Additionally, both companies will focus on training and upskilling Grab driver-partners and local communities for future roles in the autonomous vehicle industry. This partnership builds on a previous Memorandum of Understanding and includes a strategic equity investment by Grab in WeRide, supporting the deployment of Level 4 Robotaxis and shuttles in Southeast Asia. The investment is expected to be completed by the first half of 2026, paving the way for a more extensive rollout of WeRide's autonomous vehicles in the region.
