Consumer stocks were leaning lower premarket Thursday, with The Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) declining marginally and The Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY) down 0.6%.
Tapestry (TPR) shares were more than 16% lower after the company issued guidance for fiscal 2026 non-GAAP earnings below analysts' expectations. Tapestry said the outlook includes "negative impact of incremental tariffs and duties" of more than $0.60.
JD.com (JD) stock was down 0.5% after the company reported lower Q2 non-GAAP earnings.
Vipshop (VIPS) shares were up more than 4% after the company posted higher Q2 non-GAAP earnings.
