Laopu Gold (HKG:6181) reported 2.27 billion yuan in attributable profit for the first half ended June 30, nearly quadruple the 587.8 million yuan posted in the year-ago period, according to a Hong Kong bourse filing Wednesday.
Earnings per share were 13.34 yuan, compared with 4.11 yuan in the prior year.
Analysts at Visible Alpha estimated EPS at 11.83 yuan.
Revenue jumped 249% year-on-year to 14.18 billion yuan, figures showed.

The company plans to pay a dividend to shareholders.
The rate is yet to be determined, but will be paid Jan. 15 to shareholders of record on Nov. 27.
