Wide Open Agriculture (ASX:WOA) began a prefeasibility study for the development of a lupin protein isolate facility in Western Australia with a capacity of over 10,000 tonnes per annum, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
The study will define the process design, operating model, and financial returns at a large commercial scale, and it will be led by its in-house and German technical teams in partnership with Process Partners, an Australian food engineering firm, with independent review and compilation by MO Consultants.
The study is expected to take six months to complete.
The firm's shares jumped 6% in recent trading on Tuesday.
