Entergy Corporation has completed a significant $33 million project aimed at enhancing power reliability in Grenada County, Mississippi. This investment includes the construction of a new substation, along with two miles of transmission lines and three miles of distribution lines, all designed to support power load growth in the region's industrial corridor. The new Grenada Industrial Substation is expected to bolster economic growth while ensuring continued reliable service at affordable rates. The project, which underscores Entergy Mississippi's commitment to a modern and robust grid, began in June 2024 and officially came online on June 2, 2025. This effort is part of the company's ongoing strategy to improve the electric distribution system, offering a more interconnected and higher-capacity network to meet current and future energy demands.
