Aug 18 - (The Insurer) - Pen Underwriting has agreed a capacity partnership with Bridgehaven Specialty UK for its solicitors’ professional indemnity business, the MGA said on Monday.

Launched in 2023 as Britain’s first “risk-taking hybrid insurer”, Bridgehaven will support Pen’s solicitors’ PI portfolio, which ranges from select sole practitioner risks up to firms with 20 or more partners, the company said.

The MGA’s underwriting appetite spans both high street and specialist firms working in areas including personal injury, criminal law, family law and immigration.

In July, the UK-based MGA expanded its capacity partnership with global (re)insurer SiriusPoint to include international PI risks.
