Impro Precision Industries (HKG:1286) said a recent US tariff announcement is likely to have an impact on its business and operations, according to a Hong Kong bourse filing Monday.
Shares of the machine components maker fell 2% in pre-market trade.
The US government expanded a 50% tariff on imports of steel and aluminum products to include over 400 additional products, including those the company exports to the country, Impro Precision said.
A large portion of the company's products will be included in the new tariff list, making it "commercially impracticable" for the business to continue supplying products on existing terms, Impro Precision said.
The company is negotiating with its customers, but said it could not quantify the impact of the tariffs at the moment.
The US accounted for nearly 45% of the company's revenue in the year ended Dec. 31, 2024.
