Globe Metals & Mining (ASX:GBE) said the Mining Minerals Regulatory Authority approved the amendment of the Large-Scale Mining License LML0216/21 for the Kanyika project in Malawi to include zircon, hafnium, praesidium, and neodymium, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.
The license already included approvals for niobium, tantalum, and uranium.
If the firm moves ahead with exploration and production, the next steps would involve targeted drilling, sampling, and metallurgical testwork, per the filing.
