Diatreme Resources (ASX:DRX) said the Queensland Government's Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing and Regional and Rural Development granted project status across all five of its exploration tenement areas in the Cape Flattery and Cape Bedford region, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
The exploration tenements, EPM 25734 and EPM 27265, were renewed for an additional five years.
The firm said it had an estimated global silica sand resource of over 500 million tonnes across the Cape Flattery and Cape Bedford area.
