Charter Communications Inc.'s Spectrum has announced a significant expansion of its services in Tyler County, Texas, as part of a $7 billion rural construction initiative. The expansion brings Spectrum Internet, Mobile, TV, and Voice services to over 8,300 additional rural homes and small businesses in previously underserved communities, including Chester, Colmesneil, Doucette, Fred, Hillister, Spurger, Warren, and Woodville. The initiative aims to add more than 100,000 miles of fiber-optic infrastructure, providing symmetrical and multi-gigabit internet access to over 1.7 million new locations nationwide. In Texas alone, the network has recently extended to reach an additional 77,000 homes and small businesses. Spectrum's services offer broadband speeds up to 1 Gbps, along with advanced WiFi, mobile options, and extensive on-demand content without modem fees, data caps, or contracts. This expansion underscores Charter's commitment to enhancing internet connectivity in rural areas, ensuring Texans have access to reliable and affordable broadband services.
