Semiconductor Manufacturing International (HKG:0981, SHA:688981) or SMIC recorded a 36% rise in attributable profit in the first half of 2025 to $320.5 million from $236.4 million in the year-ago period, a Thursday Hong Kong bourse filing said.
Earnings per share for the semiconductor company were $0.04 in the half year, up from $0.03 in the corresponding period of the last year.
Revenue rose 22% to $4.46 billion in the interim period from $3.65 billion a year prior, mainly due to a rise in wafer shipment and higher average selling price.
