FWD Becomes Largest Tenant at Swire Properties' Taikoo Place With HQ Expansion

FWD (HKG:1828) has signed a 10-year lease with Swire Properties (HKG:1972) to expand its footprint at Taikoo Place, committing to 330,000 sq ft in the city's largest office transaction this year, according to a joint Wednesday press release.

The insurer will consolidate its Hong Kong operations across 12 floors.

Devon House, one of the towers at Taikoo Place, will be renamed FWD Tower next year, serving as its new headquarters.

"Establishing FWD Tower as our Hong Kong headquarters marks a major milestone in our growth journey and reflects our long-term commitment to the city's role as a global financial hub," Ken Lau, Hong Kong CEO and managing director of Greater China, said in a statement.

FWD has been a Taikoo Place tenant since 2014 and will become the complex's largest office occupant.
