Esprit Holdings Limited has released its interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2025. The company reported a revenue from continuing operations of HK$6.595 million, a significant decrease from HK$26.070 million in the same period of the previous year. The gross profit for the period stood at HK$6.595 million, compared to HK$24.765 million in 2024. In terms of discontinued operations, which include the United States, Canada, and Hong Kong, there was a gain on deconsolidation amounting to HK$22.105 million, compared to a loss of HK$110.833 million before taxation in the prior year. The profit from discontinued operations, net of tax, was HK$22.105 million, a turnaround from a loss of HK$65.579 million in the previous year. Basic and diluted profit per share from discontinued operations was reported at HK cents 0.78, compared to a loss of HK cents 2.31 in the previous period. The company experienced a reduction in business scale due to the deconsolidation of loss-making subsidiaries, particularly in Europe, during the previous year. This has influenced the presentation of the financial statements, now in thousands of Hong Kong Dollars, to better reflect the group's current scale.
