1904 ET - Ulta Beauty may benefit from consumers' increasing interest in less expensive beauty products, Jefferies analysts say. Data from Circana shows pricier prestige beauty sales increased 2% in the first half of the year, while mass-market beauty sales rose 4%. Those results indicate consumers are prioritizing efficacy and value, the analysts say. It also implies mass and prestige markets are converging, which migth be a near-term benefit for Ulta, given its mix of mass and prestige products, they say. Sales of types of beauty products are expected to grow into 2026, despite broader consumer uncertainty, which would also be a boost for Ulta. (katherine.hamilton@wsj.com)
