Genting Earnings Likely Boosted by Key 2H Events -- Market Talk

0120 GMT - Genting's earnings are set to be boosted in 2H by major events, including the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix in November and the July reopening and rebranding of the Singapore Oceanarium, TA Securities analyst Tan Kam Meng says in a note. Both events could help boost 2H earnings for its units Genting Singapore and Resorts World Las Vegas. However, Tan cuts Genting's 2025-2027 earnings forecasts by 35.6%-65.1% as 1H earnings came in below expectation. TA Securities cuts Genting's target price to MYR3.39 from MYR3.56, while maintaining a buy rating on the stock, adding that the recent sell-down looks overdone. Shares are 1.4% higher at MYR2.88.
