Etsy (ETSY) said Thursday that Chief Technology Officer Rafe Colburn will serve as chief product and technology officer from Sept. 8.

Colburn's appointment comes after the planned departure of Nick Daniel, who will step down as chief product officer Sept. 5 but will remain with Etsy as an adviser until October, the company said.
