Raptis Group Proposes Name Change, Chairman to Resign; Shares Up 8%

Raptis Group (ASX:RPG) said shareholders will be requested to approve a resolution to change the company's name to Group One Capital at an extraordinary general meeting on Sept. 29, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

Also, Founder and Chairman James Raptis will step down on Sept. 30 and will be succeeded by Ross Patane.

Patane has more than 30 years of leadership experience in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and governance, the filing said.

The company's shares rose 8% in recent Monday trade.
