Chart Industries Inc. has successfully expanded its operations with the completion of the largest liquefied biogas refueling station in continental Europe, located in Kallhäll, Sweden. Engineered and built at Chart's European technology center in Děčín, Czech Republic, the station is designed to accommodate the increasing traffic of natural gas-fueled heavy-duty transport across the region. The facility features four LBG and two CBG dispensers, supported by cryogenic tanks with a total liquid storage capacity of 130 m³. This expansion underscores Chart's commitment to sustainable heavy haulage transport solutions, leveraging their expertise in cryogenic products. The station's direct connection to a nearby biogas liquefaction plant operated by Gasum further enhances its sustainability by utilizing locally produced renewable fuel, contributing to a circular economy of waste to energy.
