Tianqi Lithium (HKG:9696, SHE:002466) recorded an attributable profit of 86.7 million yuan in the first half of 2025, compared with an attributable loss of 5.2 billion yuan a year prior, an Aug. 29 filing with the Hong Kong bourse said.
Shares of the lithium producer were down nearly 2% in Monday afternoon trading.
Earnings per share stood at 0.05 yuan in the six months, while the firm had incurred a loss per share of 3.17 yuan in the corresponding period of the last year.
Revenue fell 25% to 4.82 billion yuan in the half year from 6.4 billion yuan in the year-ago period.
The lower revenue was mainly due to a decline in the sales volume of lithium compounds and derivatives, as well as the average selling price of lithium products.
