Technology stocks were edging higher premarket Monday, with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) and the iShares Expanded Tech Sector ETF (IGM) each up 0.5%.

AppLovin (APP) is set to replace MarketAxess Holdings (MKTX) in the S&P 500, effective Sept. 22, S&P Dow Jones Indices said. AppLovin shares were up more than 9% premarket.
