ReElement Technologies has been awarded a $2 million grant by the Department of Defense to enhance domestic capabilities in the separation and purification of these vital materials. This initiative aligns with national defense priorities and aims to establish a reliable industrial base for rare earth minerals within the United States. ReElement's advanced chromatographic separation platform, originally developed for pharmaceutical applications at Purdue University, has been adapted to efficiently and economically process both heavy and light rare earth elements. With a 42-acre refining campus in Marion, Indiana, ReElement is positioned to meet the defense industry's needs through its scalable and environmentally friendly technology, capable of producing elements at purity levels of 99.9% to 99.999%.
