i-80 Gold Corp. has announced it has received all necessary permits and begun construction at its Archimedes project in Nevada. The project, located on the Ruby Hill property, marks the company's second planned underground mine. The development is part of a three-phase plan aimed at boosting gold output to an annual target of 600,000 ounces by the early 2030s. The initial phase involves ramping up operations at Granite Creek underground, constructing Archimedes, and refurbishing the Lone Tree autoclave and CIL processing facility. The company is also accelerating an infill drill program to support a feasibility study expected by the first quarter of 2027. The successful completion of these steps is crucial for meeting environmental requirements and advancing metallurgical testing for the project.
