Global Bio-Chem Technology Group Co. Ltd. reported a decrease in revenue to approximately HK$307.0 million during the interim period of 2025, which represents a decline of about 6.9% compared to the corresponding period in 2024. This period saw the export of approximately 24,000 metric tons $(MT)$ of amino acids and 20,000 MT of other corn-refined products, a change from the previous year's exports of 37,000 MT and 7,000 MT, respectively. No exports of corn sweeteners and polyol chemicals products were recorded during this period or the corresponding prior period. In terms of financial position, the company reported a significant reduction in other income and gains, which dropped by approximately 82.3% to around HK$22.1 million from HK$124.7 million in the prior year. This decrease was mainly due to the absence of a one-off government grant of about HK$67.4 million that was previously awarded to Changchun Dahe. During this period, the Group announced a consensus with over 130 suppliers for the proposed settlement of approximately RMB461.1 million in aggregate payables. The completion of a Suppliers Debt Restructuring Arrangement is anticipated within the year and is expected to further improve the company's financial position. Looking ahead, despite the global economic growth stimulated by improved financial market conditions in the first half of 2025, the economic outlook remains uncertain due to tariff concerns. The global confidence index among accountants reached its highest level since the third quarter of 2024, yet remains below the historical average, indicating a cautious stance on future economic conditions.
